Everything in Synzo is organized around workspaces. A workspace is your organization inside the Synzo Portal — it holds your machines, your team members, and the Console deployments you manage. Before you can install or connect anything, you need one.
This guide covers creating your Portal account and setting up your first workspace. It takes a few minutes.
Step 1 — Create your Portal account
Go to the Synzo Portal and sign in. If you don't have an account yet, signing in creates one — there is no separate registration step.
You have two options:
Continue with Google. The fastest route. Select your Google account and you're in.
Email code. Select Show other options, enter your email address, and we'll send you a one-time code. Enter the code to sign in. There is no password to create or remember.
Use an address you'll keep long-term. This account owns the workspace you're about to create, and it's the address your team will send invitations to.
Step 2 — Choose Create Workspace
After signing in for the first time, the Portal offers two paths:
Create Workspace — set up a new organization. Choose this if you're the one deploying Synzo.
Manage Invitations — accept an invitation to a workspace someone else has already created. If a colleague invited you, your invitation is waiting here.
Select Create Workspace.
Step 3 — Fill in your workspace details
Name. What your organization is called. This is what your team sees in the Portal and what appears throughout the interface — use the name people would recognize, not an abbreviation.
URL. Your workspace address, shown as
synzo.io/your-workspace. The Portal fills this in from the name automatically and confirms with a green check when it's available. You can edit it if you'd prefer something shorter. Keep it simple and lowercase — this is the address your team will use to reach the workspace.
Number of machines. How many machines this workspace will manage. Enter your planned deployment size, not just the machines you have connected today.
Where will you use Synzo? Select the environment that matches your deployment — Education, Esports, or Enterprise. This tailors the defaults and guidance you'll see in the Portal.
Select Create Workspace when you're done.
Step 4 — You're in
Your workspace is created and you're taken to the Portal dashboard as its owner. From here you can invite your team, connect a Synzo Console server, and begin managing your machines.
